The Bureau’s Barn

My name is Drew Bureau part owner and the fulltime operator of The Bureau’s Barn aka project BB. I have been riding & volunteering on and off for the last 20 years. This project has been in the works since 2014, after a couple years away from the equestrian community I decided it was time to build a life that could incorporate both my family & my greatest passion. By 2016 I had returned to the schooling ring through regular lessons under two different coaches to begin my career as a multi-discipline rider.

Since 2016 I have been blessed with many opportunities to be coached by some absolutely fantastic professionals within the equestrian community. Although my lessons at some points were few and far between, I have made consistent effort to stay fluent in my skills both mounted and from the ground. To be transparent I have dabbled primarily in basic classical dressage, equitation, western pleasure, natural horsemanship, showmanship & western dressage with complete intent to expand my repertoire!

Now some may say that we opened prematurely, truth be told we did but that is the beauty of growth! We are first generation farmers, rookies if you will, just trying to give our clients the opportunity to grow with us. This is your personal invitation to watch this establishment bloom into something truly magical! I am so honored & absolutely thrilled to be out here fostering this healthy new environment for the next generation of equestrians to enjoy!

Our Promise to You

Here at The Bureau’s Barn, we pride ourselves upon our conscious efforts to remain a holistic equestrian facility through and through. We exercise this effort for the benefit’s reaped by both horse and rider. This method greatly impacts how we instruct, ride, train & how we care for our horses – environmentally, mentally & physically. Our intention for this facility is to first and foremost keep our sport alive. We are doing our part by introducing new riders of all ages to a wide range of equine related activities in a safe and controlled environment. We strive to teach in a way that opens the door for a higher education, one that addresses much more than physically sitting on a horse. It brings us great joy to facilitate growth and educational resources in this industry to produce respectable, skilled, empathetic and strong horsemen & women. As our current students know all too well, our program is designed to ensure that our students can confidently look out for the welfare of their human & equine teammates- within and beyond the riding arena.

Through our rescue horses we have seen the ugly side of the “horse world”. In turn through our riding school, we will always be an avenue for rider education, in hopes to continue breaking the cycle.
